LOOK AND LIVE

There was sin in the camp and this was an opening for death and destruction ( in the form of fiery serpents) to enter and destroy the people of Israel . (Numbers 21: 4 -9). However , they quickly realised the need to cry out to God for his mercy and deliverance. Before this snake - bite calamity , they had seen at first hand, the awesome power of the Almighty God ,unleashed against all their enemies , as they journeyed from Egypt to the Promised Land . God had always delivered them .So they knew they were calling on the One who was able to solve their problems and deliver them. Exodus 15 : 6 .

THE BITE OF THE SERPENT .
The Bible calls Satan the "Old Serpent " (Revelation 12 : 9) ," a liar , deceiver, thief and murderer " (John 10:10 ). Satan 's attack against any human being can be likened to the bite of the serpent . Usually, the serpent creeps up to its victims, with subtlety and stealth . When it strikes, usually, it does not miss its unfortunate victim . At first , anyone bitten by a serpent does not feel the pain or even see the effects of the bite. But , surely and slowly , the venom seeps into every cell in its victim . Then pain sets in , then realisation , horror, fear , panic and finally, death !
The Venom of Satan's attack is more devastating and deadlier than that of the serpent . Venom of lies and destruction . The Good News is: there is the ANTIDOTE for Satan's venom . It is in the Hand of the Great Physician and the Balm of Gilead and His Name is Jesus Christ , the Son of the Living God THE SUGAR - COATED POISON
The Venom of the Adversary is sugar - coated .Usually , packaged and presented , cleverly, as the "ultimate goodies to eat " and never as the real poison that it is . This venom is injected into the lives of unsuspecting victims through mind control , temptation and then , sin as follows :-
Lies and Deceit: - Man's first encounter with the devil was in the Garden of Eden . It was a fatal encounter ; Vintage Satan - to steal , to kill and to destroy by grand deception ! All the time , Satan presents anything evil and anything destructive as the ideal choice. Genesis 3 : 4 , 5 .
"Hath God said -----" ( Genesis 3;1) Satan attempts to ridicule and undermine God's word , power and even His existence by a continuous stream of mind - controlling doubts and rebellious thoughts in the hearts of men . The Satan - controlled man sees himself as equal to God and lives a life of complete Godlessness ; rejecting and rebelling against the word of God .
Spiritual blindness and spiritual illiteracy: - A potent weapon in Satan's arsenal is to ensure that human desire for knowledge about God , His word and His love for mankind is completely non -existent . If any exists, such knowledge is ridiculed and rejected by human minds . 2 Corinthians 4: 3, 4.
Paralysis :- One of the major effects of the serpent's venom is to paralyse the victims , rendering them immobile . A person under satanic bondage would be unable to free himself. Some are, even, quite happy to remain the same and would reject any offers of help or any suggestions for a change in their situation. Like an animal caught in a snare awaiting death .
Fear and hopelessness:- Rarely would anyone bitten by a snake be capable of looking up to anybody or listening to anybody because he would be gripped by the pain and shock of the bite and the dread of his predicament . Justifiably so , because most people , once bitten , despite the best medical attention , do not survive the ordeal . Even if they do , they never regain full health . Unless a MIRACLE happens !


Sin is the result of succumbing to the temptations of Satan . Passing through temptation , itself , is not sin . Sin has the same devastating effects on a human being as the venom of a serpent . The inevitable consequence of both of them is DEATH .
God demands our trust and faith in Him and His word . That is , child - like faith .
THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH . (Romans 1: 17 .)
Without faith , it is impossible to please God . (Hebrew 11: 6 ). "Strange" as His word might seem to us , our obedience and faith are imperative in order to see the manifestation of God' s power and intervention in our lives and situations.
Jesus , the Light of world is the same yesterday , today and forever . From every venom -induced blindness and destruction , the power of the Son of God is ever - present to deliver mankind to the uttermost . For this purpose Jesus came to the earth to bring to an end every work of darkness in the lives of men . 1 John 3: 8 .
Jesus is passing your way now , as you read this and he sends out his invitation to you. Revelation 3 : 20 and in John 5 : 24 .
Accept this invitation now and begin to live a life of deliverance and victory by the power and love of the One who defeated Satan over two thousand years ago .
Jesus is the WORD OF GOD and He is the WAY , THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE . Jesus exposes every lie and deceit of the devil . Jesus is the SOLUTION and the LIFE to end every devastation and death sentence of sin .
"For the wages of sin is death ; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord ". Romans 6: 23 .
From the painful grip , paralysis and condemnation of death on the sinner , the GRACE and LOVE of God abound and is sufficient in every situation , to save and to deliver .
There is HOPE and DELIVERANCE for every situation of fear and hopelessness .
"Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered ."
You have received this word today because today , now , is your day of salvation .
HARDEN NOT your heart ! Only BELIEVE and fix your gaze on Jesus and your faith will be counted as righteousness. Proceed now to take the following steps of faith : -
 Accept that you have sinned and that you need a saviour , Jesus Christ , the Lamb of God who was slain for the sins of the world . John 3: 16 - 18 , ( Romans 3 : 23 ) .
 Believe that Jesus died for you and that His finished work on the cross is adequate to save you Romans 10 : 9.
 Confess all your sins to Jesus now , in your own words . Ask him to forgive and cleanse you of them . Ephesians 1: 7 , Colossians 1: 14 .
 Ask Jesus to come into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour . Thank Him and tell Him you believe he has answered you. You have now received the mercy and power of Jesus . Welcome to new life of living as a child of God , by the grace of God.
 Begin to live a life of witnessing - declaring Jesus as Lord in your life , by your words and actions. Tell others about the Lord Jesus and his saving love and power .
 Join a church where you will fellowship with other Christians and grow in the faith .
" In the world ye shall have tribulation : but be of good cheer ; I have overcome the world ". John 16 : 33 .
Satan ,the unrelenting predator , never gives up ! He will keep on trying to persuade you to doubt the promises of God concerning your salvation . And you , now in Jesus , will keep on resisting and defeating him , by the Blood of Jesus , by the word of God and by the power of the Holy Spirit .
WATCH AND PRAY ALWAYS . Only those who believe and fix their gaze on Jesus , the Author and Finisher of our Faith will keep on surviving Satan 's onslaught .
REMAIN STRONG IN THE LORD . REMEMBER , JESUS LOVES YOU .
