SALT

Events in our lives give us experiences which enrich our knowledge.
It is this bank of knowledge which we dip into when we need insight.
Wisdom gives us insight and this comes by the application of stored knowledge.
Always, there is something to learn in every experience which comes our way.
These lessons which I call,"seasonings", help to sweeten and flavour my life.
They are sweeteners because they make life easier and better for me by enriching my archive of knowledge . This archive blesses me with wisdom.
Wisdom when and if applied properly, aids me in avoiding pitfalls which foolishness brings.
The "seasoning" of wisdom helps me to shift the wheat from the chaff and to avoid the sorrow and loss resulting from unwise decisions.
Seasonings flavour my life because wisdom enables me to recognise and appreciate the good things of life and the good people who come my way.
Salt prevents me from throwing my pearls to swine.

Wisdom ,the application of knowledge from hindsight, is the salt of life.Without salt, life would taste bland. The zest for life would be minimal.
So,I give thanks for the diverse events, different persons and encounters in my life; for they are, indeed "get wisdom" gifts from the God, the Father who gives wisdom ,liberally.
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not;
neither decline from the words of my mouth.
Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing ; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.Proverbs4:5-7

Salt is not only a popular seasoning; it is also a very effective preservative.
A liberal application of salt kills and inhibits the growth of micro-organisms and other vermin.
When I apply the salt of wisdom,I am able to appreciate and enjoy for a longer period, the blessings which Lord has bountifully bestowed on me.
In times of surplus , salt helps me to prepare my " store house" for the times of scarcity and famine.
Salt gives me the confidence that my barn is well-preserved and safe from pests , vermin and predators.
Thank you Lord for the knowledge-enriching gifts; that is,the events and the people which you bring into my life to flavour and sweeten my days on earth.
