The Aroma of Praise ©

".... the smell as a field which the Lord has blessed ". Genesis 27 : 27.

The start of the year is the  time for joy , the joy of being alive and full of vigour ; it is the period for stock-taking ; it is the time for  appraisals and reviews of  the past  year .
Mainly, this is the period for drafting up " New year resolutions " by which millions of people lay out their  determination  to accomplish all their " unfinished business"; to attain goals and to do better and greater exploits than they did in the years before .
When we recount  the victories and blessings which we have received during the year , for us and millions of  people who know what  God has done, it is the  time for shouts of  thanksgiving

"O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph".
Psalms 47:1.
Praise  God because He is worthy of  praise and honour.
Our Praise is comely (desirable) to God and to man .
When given to men , praise and honour ushers in Success in life's endeavour because praise  opens doors.
Praise spurs people to do for the giver of praise  even  more than he was expecting from them.

When given to God, heartfelt praise is pleasant in His sight and gets God's attention.

Praise God not because of what you are expecting from Him ; but to honour Him.
Heart-felt praise is not  what we offer as a "PRAYER OPENER " and it should not be given as a "bribe" to  make God listen to  our prayer and for Him to grant our prayer requests .
Praise glorifies  God  for who He is ; to show our  love  and devotion to Him  because God is good , God isLove and He deserves all our praise .

Praise envelopes the giver with a sweet aroma , the aroma of God's presence.
Wherever God's attention is focused, there is fruitfulness .
The level of prosperity  in a person's life is determined by the full measure of the presence of God.
"Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord,
At the presence of the God of Jacob,
Who turned the rock into a pool of water,The flint into a fountain of waters  " psalms 114: 7, 8.

May our hearts and lips be  filled with praise always , as we receive the fullness of His presence with the fullness of Joy and the pleasures of His right hand.  Amen .
Happy New  Year !
